Chapter-678 VVA/AVVA, My visit with your Chapter was so enjoyable. You are an awesome group of people. It is so fantastic to see a Chapter work so well together. Your events were so well planned, the display at the Casino was first class, the can shake was very professionally organized. I did not have to time to go to the BonTon, however, I am sure that was as well planned also. I am honored to be the President of a State AVVA with so many wonderful members. Keep up the wonderful job you are doing for our Veterans. If I can assist you in anyway, please just ask. Thank you for allowing me to join you for the day. You are "Super Stars" Sincerely, Cathy Keister AVVA PA State Council President Chapter 542 Harrisburg PA 29 Jackson Drive East Berlin PA 17316 717-259-5716

Bill's Market Rt-940 So, Here we are again at Bill's Market in Mt. Pocono and just like last time Tony Fasano makes up this ridicules figure that he wants to make with just a couple of jars, helmets and plastic bags to collect money with. He goes about giving everyone orders that we cannot go home until he reaches his goal of $1200.00. Everyone said Tony, the people are tapped out with the economy being so bad and all.

He started by teaching Debbie Russo his new secrete hand signals, now repeat after me, if I make this sign it means your lallygagging about and you better get it in gear and collect more money. He made people cover each door and nobody would be able to enter or leave without putting money in the helmet.

So the one door was ruled by a ruthless Marine Howard "DOC" Polbos who ordered everyone about like a Drill Sargent, We even had a few guest show up to help us, Sandy who is a friend of Cathy Keister were there and you think he would show mercy on them, but Noooooo, and then he blamed it on the line boss down at the other end, saying he wanted It could also be that he was trying to impress a very special guest, "AVVA State President Cathy Keister", who came out to see how well we got along as a group. We asked Brandie Hawk how she felt about the terrible work conditions and the Military Rules being imposed upon her by Doc. Of course being the super person that she is, she just laughed it off, I think she was under duress from the tough rules set by Doc.
this, that she sent a helper that came along with her to work the other end down by Old Scrooge Fasano and try Cathy Old to meet the goal he set.
Know notice who is just standing around talking, yea it's the line boss Tony Fasano and his side kick Debbie Russo. Also in front of them working very hard to help us is Cathy Keister Marty Barrett is here somewhere but he is very shy and does not like his picture taken.
people of Monroe County because this is only one of the events we were present at and people everywhere gave all they could, drive came out to over $1300.00 and everyone got to go home, sounds good right, well remember this is a fairy tale and many of the members moved on to a different area to make the Vietnam Veterans of America presents known throughout the land. Thank-you to one and all for their help in this endeavor. Kudos out there to all that helped on such a busy week end of events. For those that were unable to attend the events, Cathy Keister our AVVA State President came to the Poconos and helped us with our can shake at Shop Rite and the Casino event. ATTENDING Tony Fasano, Howard "DOC" Polbos, Brandie Hawk, Debbie Russo, Ray Russo, Lynn Brown, Cathy Keister, Bryan Bittenbender, Sandy, Marty Barrett, Rena & Bob Patrick, & Ralph Keiper The VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA CHAPTER 678 would also like to extend a special thanks to Bill's Market of Mt. Pocono for allowing our group to continue to have access of his store for our can shakes and would hope to all who read this to shop at his market for the good he does in the neighborhood every year, he also extends this offer to many other groups throughout the year.

No matter what the event may be, Brandi is there to answer the call
