A HUGH THANK-YOU
CHAIRPERSON:
TONY & KATHY FASANO
Performance by a dedicated group who really put their life into a fun event, there was a little competition
between each group, words like "Old People" "Generic Crowd" "Escapees from the nursing home" &
"Want-a-bee's" were thrown about freely by both groups. Members welcomed home a lot of veterans,
handed out applications for the V. V. A. And the A.V.V.A and received Thank-You's from many of the people
who freely gave donations.

I personally want to THANK all who came out to help us collect.
Ralph Keiper
The day started by Chairman Tony
Fasano presenting Manager Cathy
with a Certificate of Appreciation for
the help sh supplies V V A 678 with our
fund raising efforts.
Cathy Fasano making one of
her collection runs from
Marty Lengyel and
Wayne Snure, they rode in
early on their bikes and really
made a difference with the
people,always joking while
taking their money.
Down on the far end, away from the public
stood part of the
"B Team" consisting of Ray
Russo
hiding in the shadows, Debbie
Russo
, Doc Polbos, &
Doug Albertson
A future member stopped by and played
some Patriotic Music for us.
Wayne Snure seen her with one of
many contributors, he has a knack with
the ladies, keeping them laughing
while taking their money.
Doc Polbos came down to the "A Team"
side to collect secrets on how we were
collecting more than thy were.
Doc Polbos broke out in a little
shuffle to provide entertainment in
order to coach an extra quarter out
of the public.

Bob Steltz and Brian Koehler, Bob is waiting for his turn with the
collection bottle.
This gentleman stopped by as we all
called out
"Hello Captain" to him.
He spent some time telling
Wayne
Snure
and Marty Lengyel of his
Military time and was quite
fascinating
To tell you that the flowers were well
received, well there would not be any Justus
in anything I could say, but this little guy
really liked them, just look at the intensity in
his eyes.
Kathy Fasano can tell you that many people
said that their poppies were red, but were set
straight for the colors of The Vietnam
Veterans.
Bob Steltz receives a donation from this young
lady.
Bob Patrick could be found counting his flowers thinking
when they were gone he would be able to go home, they
we gave him key chains and American Flags to give out.
Tony Fasano and Bob Steltz took over the cart corner.
Doc Polbos stopped this
citizen and told him to empty
the contents of his pockets
into the helmet.
Have you ever seen the sign "View this before it gets
removed'/ This is probably one of those pictures, Here
is
Rene Patrick and Cookie Clampet, I always seem
to get pictures of people in different poses that get me
in trouble.
Here Bill Kastler is giving a young lady change to get a
pack of All Star Cards.
Bill Kastler and Deb Russo holding a small
conversation, their end was always talking, that way
our end collected most of the money.
No set of photo's would ever be complete without
the unknown comic,
Ray Russo hiding behind the
collections jar.
Brian Koehler and Joe Clampet in a rare photo appearance manning
the table.
YEP, I was right.
Bob Patrick with a former veteran, I am not sure
what he is saying but I bet it is one of them Air
Force Hand Signals. We had hand signals too but
none like this one.
.
Have you ever seen the "EYES IN THE
HEADLIGHT LOOK LIKE THIS" before
The Original Rat Pack of
collectors,
Kathy Fasano, Bill
Kastler
and Doc Polbos.
