V.V.A. POCONO
CHAPTER 678
Trailer Project
Ray said the trip up here with the trailer
nearly drove him nuts!
Bill Kastler grabbed the creeper and
went to it sanding and a singing a joyful
tune, not even minding all the rust that
was falling in his face.

So, Ray & Debbie went for the trailer
and delivered it to Marty's house, at
this point it is really shabby and a
lot of surface rust. Ray is
lowering the tongue jack.

The next job was to get it into the
garage, the trailer is so large it had be
put in the garage across both bays,
then they blocked it up and removed
the tires to get it ready to sand.
At this point I would say that Bill needs
a break, but will the line boss allow that
to happen?
Looks like Deb is doing her Taliban
impersonation again, no wait, my
mistake, thats a dust mask to keep the
amount of rust she is swallowing to a
minimum.
So Tony has shown up but before the
dirt and dust gets to  be too much he
poses for a picture for Marty, that
vacuum received a real workout with all
the rust this team scrapped off that
frame.
HERE IT TONY BEFORE SANDING, aFTER Tony
FINISHED SANDING KATHY DIDN'T WANT TO LET
HIM IN THE HOUSE.

Debbie is working very hard at
scrapping rust, but I wonder where Tony
is going with that hose. This picture give
you an idea just how much rust they had
to scrape

Hard to believe that this is the same
trailer, compliments of Ray, Deb, Tony,
Bill, & Marty. Super job guys and gal.

Look at those fenders shine, now if we
can only find out who cut those break
lines so close we will be in business.

Marty wanted this trailer to look brand
new so he could rent it out on
weekends.
Marty had everyone bring their clear
lunch bags, then they opened them all
up added a little tape and erected a
barrier to keep the paint off everything
else in the garage.

At about this point, Marty has about had
it, we really busted his rear end and
just made his life miserable, we though
about easing up on him but then we
took a vote, Marty lost, so he in for
more abuse as the build goes on, we
probably only have about a month to
go yet, I guess we all just love him.

Pictures were supplied by Marty and
Bill Kastler.
What do you think Ray? The team is
getting hungry, it says here we can have
1 item from volume A
2 items from column B,
unless you want Won-Ton Soup
then you get two items from
column A
but you also get fortune cookie.

Ray says, Marty, I am going in to the
recliner and get a little shut eye, when
you get the Bird Drop Soup
call me and I will jump up.

Debbie looks on but with the mask no
one knew her, good disguise deb.
She has that I am gonna kill someone
look in her eyes.

27 sheets of SAND PAPER
2 ORBIT SANDERS
5750 hours of hard sanding
lots of dirt & grim
some banter back & forth
and then they say,
MARTY,
if you don't work harder there will be
"NO SOUP FOR YOU"

BUT PEOPLE LETS GET SERIOUS!
This trailer has taken many hours by
dedicated men and women from Chapter
678.

We do need to give a BIG THANK YOU to
Marty Barrett for all the hard work,
planning and the use of his garage
which 10 years from now he will still
be cleaning rust from all the nooks
and crannies. He also took more
attacks on his very being than most
people could endure, That's why we
love him so much.
Let's just hope he never runs for
office.
Bill Kastler jumped right into the
project and worked like he was a young
kid, well he is at heart. He and Debbie
really sanded up a storm.

It was reported that Ray was outside on
a smoke break just waiting for the
garage to blow up. Seems that their
might have been just a little too much
toxic gases in the air.
